CHAYAMUGHI
Chayamughi is a premiere wedding photography and filmmaking company. We believe that every wedding is a personal experience, and we strive to build enriching relationships and trust with our clients. We believe that stories can be told only through meaningful relationships, and we are committed to capturing the unique moments of your wedding day in a way that is both beautiful and meaningful.
Chayamughi is the result of technology's introduction into Indian villages. To be honest, the story of Chayamughi begins in a village in central Kerala in the 2000s where the technological media or convenience that the youth of today are so used to was not even present in their dreams. Chayamughi’s journey began in that village, when Babu who worked in a small studio was asked by its owner to take it on, he invited one of his friends to join as his partner. Sajith, who had no knowledge of photography, began taking photography lessons from Babu solely because of his passion for photography. Learning photography was not as easy as it is today as it involved using film cameras. A single roll of film would cost them at least Rs. 100. To cut costs, they began purchasing 50-ISO black and white films.
During their free time, they photographed the colorless glory of Bharatapuzha (the name of a river), their friends on its banks, the far-off Kerala Kalamandalam (Government of India's University of Art and Culture) and its koothambalam etc, as it made it into their syllabus. Both friends had to switch careers because the photography industry at the time was extremely unprofitable. Babu concentrated on photography printing and album production, whereas Sajith pursued photography in his dreams while working other jobs. The moment when Sajith's life changed was when his cousin Nikhil gave him a new camera. The flames of a big dream were stoked by Nikhil's gift. The journey Sajith and his camera took among the people laid the groundwork for their return to full-time professional photography. Sajith and Babu came up with a novel idea in 2016 when a few of their old friends asked them to photograph their weddings.
The brand ‘Chayamughi’ was created when they realized that people wanted photography services that were totally professional, systematic, and of high quality. Chayamughi's rapid growth was made possible by cutting-edge equipment, up-to-date ideas, respectable behavior, and on-time delivery. Soon after, Riju, Rajeev, Malini, Ranjini, and others joined them on their journey. A team of talented photographers and videographers capable of working behind the camera was quickly assembled.
The Chayamughi team, who hails from a small village in Kerala, uses the latest equipment and is constantly updating their ideas as they travel throughout South India to capture your memories for eternity.
